Eine aktuelle Gallup-Wahlumfrage vom 29. September (veröffentlicht in oe24.at) sieht derzeit 5 Parteien über der Mandatshürde von 4 %: Die SPÖ liegt mit 26 % vor der ÖVP (23%). Die FPÖ käme auf 20 %). Die Grünen liegen mit 14 % knapp vor Team Stronach, das derzeit bei 12 % liegt. Das BZÖ liegt sowie die PIRATEN mit 2 % unter der Mandatshürde. Dieser Werte ergeben zusammengezählt 99 – somit verteilt sich 1 % auf "Sonstige" Parteien (wie u.a. KPÖ/LINKE, neos, LIF, SÖ, u.ä.).

Bei der neuwal-Mandatsberechnung, basierend auf den Gallup-Umfragewerten (n=400, +/- 5 % Schwankungsbreite), gibt es derzeit 5 Parteien, die für eine Koalition in Frage kommen: SPÖ, ÖVP, FPÖ, DIE GRÜNEN und das TEAM STRONACH. Für eine Mandatsmehrheit werden 92 von 183 Mandaten benötigt (in Klammer Mandate bei 165 Sitzen, 83 Mandate bilden eine Mandatsmehrheit).
